VCCF Nutrition Team Info

Vette City CrossFit offers athletes one-on-one nutrition coaching to help you reach your body composition and performance goals. We are committed to continued education through various programs about nutrition and athletic performance. Based on experience, the CrossFit prescription of eating for optimal performance and various certifications, we are confident our team can help you.

We will always refer to the CrossFit prescription of healthy eating : lean meats, vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar at amounts that support exercise but not body fat. We have had members drop upwards of 50-100 pounds on this advice alone. For others who want to dial it in a bit more to enhance their physique or to compete in a competition, we are here for you! Below is a breakdown of our individual approaches. Cost varies per coach.

 

Court Nutrition

Courtney Wise CrossFit Level 1, VCCF Co-Owner and Primal Health Coach(PHC): Starting with a 21 day reset, we will dive immediately into behavior change and modification. Choosing health is a habit! I will focus less on hitting specific macros and more on Paleo/Primal eating. Omitting grains, dairy, legumes and most sugar from the diet provides a low inflammation, high energy, non hormone inhibiting way of life. Our bodies were designed to be lean and fit, we will focus on muscle mass by movement and plenty of protein. I will do individual coaching, group coaching and 21 day resets. Rachel Nutrition

Rachel Marshall, CrossFit Level 1, Precision Nutrition Student:  I offer macros or meal planning to VCCF members who need extra guidance. We will make slow and steady progressions towards your goals. I want to teach you how to make better choices at home and when dining out. We’ll talk about how to plan, grocery shop and prep meals. We will have weekly check ins and measurements, weight and progress pics. You will have contact with me via text, email or face to face. rachmarsh17@gmail.com

 

Helen Nutrition

Helen Jasso, CrossFit Level 1: I offer macros for the VCCF members that ‘hate’ to cook or are on the run constantly. You will learn how to meal prep on the fly with very standard and easy foods to hit your numbers. I will suggest proper carbs, fats and proteins to eat to make sure you are fueling your body for performance. I fit more into the category of “If It Fits Your Macros or IIFYM.” This means I eat LOTS of healthy choice foods, but when I am on the run I grab protein bars, protein drinks and other prepared or packaged foods that help me get through the day.
